The new Sony Movie Channel will air uncut and uninterrupted movies in high definition and some in 3D. With more than 3,500 films in the Sony library, viewers will have a varied schedule of films from all different genres.
In total, Sony Pictures has received 184 Academy Awards for their films, which includes 12 Best Picture Academy Awards. Airing 24 hours a day, this channel will always have a movie for the Hollywood die-hard film fan.
The films will air commercial-free with fillers between features. These fillers will consist of movie trailers, music video, and featurettes with some of the Sony Pictures talent, which includes Will Ferrell and many others. There will also be featurettes with movie trivia; however, the movies themselves will run straight through, so all the incidentals will air after and before the films, commercial-free and completely uncut, just like they were originally intended on being viewed.
